Analytics and Cookies
We use the following analytics tools to understand how families use Finding Maeve and to improve our service:
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — We use GA4 to understand aggregate usage patterns such as which pages are visited, how families navigate the site, and which features are most helpful. GA4 uses first-party cookies and does not collect personal health information. IP addresses are anonymized.
Google Tag Manager (GTM) — We use GTM to manage our analytics tags. GTM itself does not collect personal data; it coordinates when and how other analytics tools load.
Microsoft Clarity — We use Clarity to understand how users interact with the site through anonymized session recordings and heatmaps. Clarity automatically masks all text input fields so that no personal information, search queries, or conversation content is captured. Clarity only loads after you provide consent.
Consent — When you first visit Finding Maeve, you will see a consent banner. Analytics cookies are not set until you click “Accept.” If you decline, no analytics cookies are placed and no session recordings are captured. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site.
What we do NOT collect via analytics: We never collect the content of your conversations with Maeve, your health information, specific facility names you search for, or any information you share in the advisor chat through our analytics tools. Analytics data is limited to page views, click patterns, and feature usage.
